Kadarka is one of Hungary’s most historic native grapes, prized for its perfume, freshness and fine spice rather than weight or extraction. The Bock family in Villány handles the variety with restraint, allowing its naturally vibrant fruit and softer structure to speak clearly. Fermented traditionally with careful oak integration, this is a lighter, more elegant expression of southern Hungarian red wine — lifted, savoury and distinctly regional.
Tasting Note Bright and expressive with notes of red cherry, raspberry and gentle spice. The palate is supple and fresh, showing soft tannins, lively acidity and subtle earthy undertones balanced by delicate oak influence. Elegant, approachable and quietly complex.
