Founded on a winemaking legacy dating back to 1560, Château Purcari remains one of Moldova’s most historic estates, formally established in 1827 under decree from Tsar Nicholas I. Produced in the Ștefan Vodă region, this wine is made entirely from Viorica, an indigenous aromatic variety developed from Seibel and Aleatico. Hand-harvested and vinified with a focus on preserving freshness and varietal expression, the wine reflects Purcari’s refined yet distinctive house style.

Tasting Note
Bright and expressive, with aromas of acacia blossom, basil, white peach and delicate muscatel notes unfolding gradually in the glass. The palate is fresh yet softly textured, showing ripe orchard fruit, citrus peel and gentle spice layered with floral and herbal nuance. Balanced acidity and a velvety mouthfeel carry through to an elegant, persistent finish.
