The Szerelmi vineyard is one of Tokaj’s historic first-growth sites, planted on steep volcanic and loess-rich slopes overlooking the Bodrog valley. Zoltán Demeter approaches Hárslevelű with a lighter hand than many producers in the region, focusing on texture, acidity and vineyard character rather than overt richness. Fermented with minimal intervention and matured in old oak, the wine reflects both the warmth of the vintage and the quiet precision that defines Demeter’s cellar work.

Tasting Note
Aromatically open with orchard fruit, blossom and gentle honeyed notes. The palate is textured yet finely cut, balancing ripe stone fruit with citrus, herbal complexity and saline minerality. There is weight here but also tension, carried through by bright acidity and a long, composed finish.
