This traditional red dry Kvevri wine comes from Gavazi village of Kvareli zone. It is cherry in colour and has a nose of red fruits and some spices, along with black fruits and cherries. It is a structured wine with soft tannins and a long finish. The distinctive acidity and bouncing palate of Saperavi make it a benchmark for red wine. The prevailing tannins and fullness along with its firmness are the key virtues of Saperavi. Some can age for a very long time.
